The Piper Archer is used in our Private, Commercial, and Instrument training courses. With its 129 kt maximum cruise speed, 735 fpm climb rate, and its 670 nm range, the Archer has proven itself to be an ideal trainer. Its cantilevered semi tapered low-wing design creates less drag and allows for greater visibility in turns. While the Archers one-piece stabilator and fries type ailerons provide excellent pitch and bank control with exceptionally light control feel. Powered by a 180 hp Lycoming engine, the Archer is a true four-place airplane. Its no wonder why the Archer is the most popular airplane in its class.
